It all started on the stoops of Sunset Park.

Born and raised into a New York fanbase that lead me on a journey of heartbreak after heartbreak. From the Jets to the Nets, my path to sports devotion has had a few highs but many lows. Even then, my obsession with my teams never dwindled and my loyalty only deepened. Aside from my beloved Yankees, this toxic relationship with my teams only worsened with age, eventually turning me into a… yes, you guessed it….. an unapologetic battered fan.

After moving down to Miami in my teens, this ride or die mentality only strengthened when I met the full force of their fanbase. The banter was relentless…while all my new friends rooted for their teams, I pridefully defended mine..loss after loss… And then, like a beacon of light, came Inter Miami… except they also broke my heart. This is an obsession I just can’t give up though. I’ll stand with my teams until the casket dips, regardless of the names on the back of their jerseys.
